Happy Birthday Mohammed
Everyday I drive home past one of the biggest mosques in Krabi. It always looks incredible especially at sunset however this week it's been even more magical!
This week all the Muslims in Krabi and beyond have been preparing their mosques and outfits for Mohamed's birthday!
We were invited by our teacher to join in the festival so myself, Diane, Anne-so, Gabrielle, nana and Myo all made our way to the mosque. Their teacher had brought them some Muslim attire, which of course I had to try on!!
There was stalls for food, fashion and accessories everywhere and all the Thai muslims were dressed up in their finest outfits.
Was quite strange walking around such a huge festival for many reasons 1 because we were the only non- Thais there, 2 I had quite a few people recognise me including a couple of my kids who just looked gorgeous! And 3 I never thought in a million years I would ever attend a festival of this nature.
The night was so fun and everyone looked so beautiful, just a shame the rain had to show up.
