Sun, Fake full moon parties and tattoos!!

This weekend we headed back to Phi Phi, we can't seem to get enough of the place!! We planned to do all the things we didn't do last time including the tsunami village and the view point. The others succeeded in attempting both but I gave up at the thought of it as both are a bit of a trek.

Once again Phi Phi never failed to get us well and truly messy. We made our own full moon party with neon clothing and neon face paint, I managed to get it everywhere... Classy! It all soon washed off though as Thailand let rip one it's infamous rain storms and drenched all party goers on the beach. We didn't let the rain beat us, we just carried on dancing and singing... Mr Kelly would have been proud!!

Friday, however wasn't the main event this weekend, no no no. Me and three of the girls decided we wanted a momento from Thailand which we would never forget or lose. We decided to get tattoos!!! We found a tattoo parlour that didn't have any signs of scary metal music blaring or the smell of herbal substances, but most importantly had two fit English guys promoting in front of the shop ;).

We had bamboo tattoos, mainly because there is no healing time but also because it's more traditional. Just to clear up, I wouldn't say the bamboo tatts are less painful, it's just a different pain. It stings rather than burns, but it's bearable. Mine took forever because of the intricate detail and I could tell he found it hard going as I requested it to be so small, but I absolutely love it. My tattooist did an awesome job!!

I had two lines called the Sak Yant spiritual Buddhist prayer. It's quite a common Thai tatt but I really liked it so... The first line means 'if at a crossroads in life, I will be guided the right direction' and the second 'the strength to find positive outcomes in any situation' the little symbols at the end of each line represent luck.

We all got different tattoos, Gabrielle got a little long tail boat, which I adore, Anne-so got a little heart on her wrist and Nana got 'you don't touch the magic, the magic touches you' on her hip.

We had a great time in the tattoo place, the people were so much fun and so talented!!!

I apologise if this blog makes no sense, absolutely shattered lol. Just enjoy the pics if I were you!
