KL from the highest heights
When you are in the centre of KL it's a world of bustling busyness that cities do oh so well. It's filled with shop aster shop, street markets which are incredible and food stalls selling all produce from picky foods to fresh fruit. Although I loved this side of KL, I also liked seeing all the action happen from a distance.
There are three main places (which we visited) that you can enjoy the vast city landscape and variety of buildings of all ages and sizes. The first KL tower...
It's quite expensive to get up there, if but you can get the tickets cheaper if you select wisely. In the tower they charge 35myr + but we got them for 25.
Once you are up there you can see the whole of KL, and if you want to go really touristy you can use the headphones for free which tell you all about the city... Yup we are cool!!
The second place was the Chinese Temple. It's the biggest in SE Asia and has been used in a couple films. The decor is as ever spectacular as its what the Chinese do best and the view is beautiful.
Thirdly you can only go to if you stay in our little prison of a hostel called Wheelers. It's a great location, the decor of the reception is quirky and fun and the owner is lovely, however the bedroom could be a setting for a horror film... Delightful! The hostel does however have a roof top where you can chill out with the turtle and have a beer as the world carries on beeping and running around below you.
If you don't like heights check out the KL lake garden. Garden after garden of flowers, lakes, fountains and a play park ... Me and gab had to try it ALL out :)
