My gypsie/Thai wedding/school show day
Today we had a mini fete/show/meeting/school type thing, tbh I'm not really sure what it was. All I know is that all my little girlies put on their big girl make up and did a little dance for the school officials whilst people wondered around stalls giving out information on pet care, health care and school admissions.
The centre was closed today for the fete and only the girls showed up for the dance as the boys were banned for being too naughty ... I like to say spirited but never mind. Some girls had a face full of make up where as the others came in ready for me to put theirs on. Made the mistake of letting them put some on me... School girl error, that got washed off straight away.
We then headed to the temple where all the stalls were, Nong Kok (my day care centre) had a stand so people could sign their children up alongside many other government based facilities.
The temple was just down the road from where I live so basically in the middle of the jungle, there was wild monkeys, turtles and dogs everywhere. Me and Nong Ai had a wonder round whilst the girls were practising.
The girls dance went really well and I felt so proud seeing them do their little dance (which I also know off by heart now)
The heavens opened again so we had to wait till it had slowed to a less monsoon state before we attempted to leave. Papa, is apparently on the board for the local area so he was there to do a speech and play some music on his ukulele. Same again tomorrow with the older kids, hope the rain holds off this time!
