To sleepy to write much tonight but this weekend we fitted in shit loads... Crazy Friday with the kids, Thai festival, Chang bar, Ao Nang beach, DVD night with the girls , emerald pool and hot spring waterfall... See!
There are two different types of people at Uni, the home bird who goes home every 2-3 weeks and the one that's flown the nest, who turns up at their parents house at Christmas just to let them know they are alive ... I was the home bird. I would have gone insane if I had to go home every weekend, every two weeks meh, by the third week I was ready to go home, see my dog, argue with my sister, listen to my dad rant about dishwasher karma, eat my mums roast and have a proper catch up with my friends. This is my main fear of going away, which didn't really hit me till the other night, where like any normal 25 year old woman, burst into hysterical tears at my younger sister, who thought someone had died or I was hurt, something serious, not that I was being a baby and waah'ing about missing my maaammy. Don't get me wrong, I am so excited about going away especially now that I am talking to a couple people who are going to be out there the same time, but if I listen to ...
This week it is Johannas last week, she leaves Friday so I thought I would take a mini holiday for a couple days. The original plan was to disappear to Chang Mai for the week but it was to expensive. Instead we headed to Kow Sok National Park. Kow Sok is around 3 hours drive from Krabi and set right in the rain forest. Absolutely gorgeous setting but unless you are into walking, scenery and the outdoors don't go lol. Luckily I like two of the three so it was all good. We stayed in an apartment just in the local village which was really cute, not much there except tourist offices and bars but so relaxing! As you will see in the photos we stayed in a sort of tree house which was so cute and oh so cheap!! The hotel was called The Jungle Huts and owned by two German dudes who were really nice. Their Thai wives seem to run the place with the help of there very random and unnecessarily naked brothers... Yeah don't be surprised if you see a couple fat Thai men wandering around ...
This is a little over due as I was waiting for a card from my nan, which seems to have got lost in the Thai post... Sorry nan! Thank you anyway :) Although my birthday was weeks ago I received some gorgeous cards from Natalie, my Squem, My Aunty Barb and Uncle Joe and also my Mum and Dad. Didn't expect anything seeing as I'm so far away but it was so nice to sit at the dinner table and find these little messages from home :) I spent my birthday money on my trip to Kow Sok so it was spent properly, rather than a few buckets in Chang Bar. Thank you so much for sending them, love you all!! And I'm sure the Thai family who received Nans card was very grateful too. Much love xxx P.s also thank you to Steve, Vick and the kids for my money :) x
