Perving on monks and playing on motorbikes...

You prob haven't noticed from my blogs but the passed week, I've been feeling a little crap. Don't know whether cos its only a week and a half till I leave or a smidge of home sickness, can't work it out. Today however, I came back to my happy place!!

Me and Cabio hired a motorbike and drove EVERYWHERE !!! We went to all the parts of Krabi and Ao Nang that you can't get to or stop at on our usual journey home, to the beach or to Dawn of Happiness.

Our first stop was a cute cafe that I pass by every day on the way home from town. It's got a real cosmopolitan/oriental/modern look to it and I really wanted to try it out... So we did! Due to the air con I could have a latte without melting my entire body and Gab had a fruit lasse. We perved on Justin and Mila's Elle photo shoot, drank our drinks and were tempted by the yummy snacks on the shelves!

We then went back to mine so gabby could meet the puppies, they were very happy to see us, even if it was just a quick visit. I did attempt to ride the bike but failed miserably as my pathetically vertically challenged legs wouldn't reach the damn floor... This would cause major issues at junctions, turning points, stopping and well generally anything except going straight.

Next port of call was Ao nang, we stopped to say hi to our sun worshipping Nana then whisked off to have lunch in the other side of Ao Nang which we never visit. The food was lush, view amazing... Waiter, shit.

Only problem with visiting a new area is finding new shops, I managed to get a new bikini, sunglasses, flip flops, gab got a new outfit and top...our cheap day out, not so cheap!!

We detoured down various roads, stopped at a ridiculously luxurious hotel just to have a peek, went to visit the lying down Buddha and met a fit monk!!

The day was finished off with yet more food at the night market and a fruit smoothie for pudding.

I would recommend hiring a motor bike to anyone, it's risky as the Thai roads are crazy and most insurances won't cover you as a person but if you are careful it's the most free way to travel Krabi and all it's beauty. The perfect way to say goodbye...*sigh*
